When students apply for financial aid at Big Bend Community College, they are considered for all of the following Federal and State Financial Aid Programs:

Grants and Tuition Waivers

            Federal PELL Grant

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG)

            Washington State Need Grant (SNG)

Washington State Tuition Waiver (TW 3.5 or TWND)

Employment

            Federal work-study program (FWS)

            America Reads/America Counts (RT/MT)

            State work-study program (SWS)

            Off-campus work-study (SWS)

Loans

Federal Stafford Loan (subsidized and unsubsidized)

            Federal Perkins Loan

            Federal PLUS Loan

A financial aid award may consist of one or more of these programs.  The Perkins Loan is made by Big Bend and appears on the award notice.  All other loans are made by private lenders and do not appear on the initial award notice.  If a student wants more information or to determine eligibility, contact the personnel in the Financial Aid Office.
