Who Is Eligible? 

 

 

All Big Bend Community College financial aid recipients must meet the following eligibility requirements:

 

  • Be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.

 

  • Be determined to have financial need based upon Congressional Methodology (except for Unsubsidized Stafford and PLUS Loans).

 

  • Have a high school diploma or GED certificate.

 

  • Be admitted to BBCC.

 

  • Be enrolled in a college degree or certificate program.

 

  • Not owe a refund on a previous grant or be in default on a Federal Educational Loan.

 

  • Be enrolled for eligible number of credits and maintaining satisfactory academic progress requirements.   Previous satisfactory academic progress at Big Bend Community College will be considered even if not on financial aid.

 

  • Not be receiving financial aid at another institution at the same time.

 

  • Be registered with Selective Service (if required).

 

  • Have satisfied federal guidelines regarding conviction of illegal drug offense.
